도쿄에있는 튜닝 숍 「메카돗쿠 "(이름의 유래는"Mechanical Doctor '의 약자로, 차량의 의사 라는 의미)에 근무하는 주인공 카자미 쥰. 처음에는 가게에 드나 드는 단골 손님의 요구에 따라 다양한 튜닝을 실시하고 있었지만, 자신이 맡은 차를 몰고있는 사이에 다른 튜닝 샵과의 관계가 태어나 많은 레이스에 참전하게 된다.
