Living in the mid-Edo period, Iroha is the only daughter of a courier family. She's always been fascinated by the world around her and loves teaching children, but her opportunities are limited due to her gender and status. Mysteriously, she ends up in the body of Iroha Nashiki, an elementary school teacher in the Reiwa era. Edo-Iroha is initially thrilled to live out her dream, but she learns that Reiwa-Iroha is struggling with self-confidence issues and has recently taken a leave of absence. She's also confronted with plenty of bureaucratic issues, like overbearing parents and excessive workloads. She finds help in Ikuru Ichinose, a fellow teacher who helps Edo-Iroha adapt to the present day. But what will they do when Ikuru begins to fall for Edo-Iroha?
