Porfy, his younger sister Mina, and their parents live a humble but happy life in the Grecian countryside. They've just started running a gas station, much to Porphy's joy, and it seems like only good things are in store for their future. However, a huge earthquake changes all that, leaving Porfy without a home or a family -- sans Mina, who seems to have disappeared in the commotion. Now, Porfy is determined to find his sister and be able to live together happily again.

La storia si svolge in Grecia e racconta la vita di due fratelli Porfi (Porfirio Patagos ) e Mina; Porfi ha una grandissima passione per le automobili e sogna un giorno di lavorare come meccanico insieme a suo padre, ma un terremoto uccide i loro genitori e i fratelli vengono separati per vivere in due diverse famiglie. Un giorno Mina lascia il paese su una nave e Porfi intraprenderà un viaggio per l'Europa allo scopo di ritrovarla, da lì inizieranno le sue avventure.

故郷のギリシャから、イタリア、フランス…兄妹はいつの日か再会するため、大戦の悲劇を乗り越えて復興へと向かうヨーロッパの地で、力強く歩み続ける。
