Dan Bashin è un giovane ragazzo che sogna di vincere il torneo di Battle Spirits. Un giorno, mentre segue una strana ragazza che incontra al campionato, viene trasportato in un altro mondo, Granroro, dove Battle Spirits è il gioco più diffuso e gli Spirit si materializzano e si danno battaglia. A Granroro incontra una maga chiamata Magisa, che gli spiega il motivo per cui è stato mandato in quel mondo: Dan, infatti, è il guerriero rosso e insieme agli altri guerrieri, chiamati i Maestri della Luce, dovrà sconfiggere il Re del mondo Altrove.
『バトルスピリッツ 少年激覇ダン』（バトルスピリッツ しょうねんげきはダン）は、トレーディングカードゲーム『バトルスピリッツ』を元にしたテレビアニメ作品。2009年9月13日から2010年9月5日まで名古屋テレビ放送（メ〜テレ）の制作によりテレビ朝日系列で毎週日曜7時00分から7時30分に放送された。全50話。キャッチコピーは「極めろ!新たなバトルスピリッツ!」、「いくぜ!アタックステップ!」。

《Battle Spirits 少年突破马神》（バトルスピリッツ 少年突破バシン），是SUNRISE改编自万代与魔法风云会制作组共同出品的CARDDAS系列30周年纪念的卡片游戏Battle Spirits的动画作品，漫画版由藤异秀明执笔，于日本角川出版社的漫画杂志KEROKERO ACE连载，2008年9月，于名古屋电视台播出动画版。
