Noddy Franchise

Noddy is a fictional character created by English children's author Enid Blyton. Noddy first appeared in a book series published between 1949 and 1963, illustrated by the Dutch artist Harmsen van der Beek from 1949 until his death in 1953, after which the work was continued by Peter Wienk. Television shows based on the character have run on British television since 1955.

Noddy

1975

Based on popular children's book 'Noddy' by Enid Blyton. Noddy was brought to the screen in 1975 by the production partnership of Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall with their company Stop Frame Productions. They also produced another version of Noddy in the 1990s. Richard Briers voices all the characters.

Noddy's Toyland Adventures

1992

It follows the adventures of Noddy, a little wooden doll who lives in Toyland with his red and yellow taxi often trying to make sixpence or getting himself in trouble. His best friends Big Ears, Mr Plod and Tessie Bear are always ready to lend a hand, especially when he gets tricked by Gobbo and Sly the wicked Goblins. Whatever the situation the episode mostly ends with Noddy laughing and nodding his head which makes the bell on his hat ring.

Three children spend their time after school at Notions, Oddities, Doodads and Delights of Yesterday, an antique toy store where the toys and the shopkeeper's pet crawfish come to life.

Make Way for Noddy

2002

Make Way for Noddy is an animated series for children based on Enid Blyton's character, Noddy. The show bursts with infectious energy, inspiring songs and larger than life characters. The child viewer can easily jump straight into this wonderful world.

Say It with Noddy

2007

The Say it With Noddy interstitials featured Noddy learning various foreign-language words from a robot named Whizz (voiced by Matt Hill). Although most of the Noddy characters had been re-dubbed to remove their British accents, Naomi spoke with a strong British accent and used British English words and phrases in conversation. It features songs with music by Mark Sayer-Wade and lyrics by Judy Rothman.

Noddy is a little wooden man who lives in his own little House-for-One in Toyland. Noddy loves driving his friends around Toytown in his little red and yellow taxi. Noddy's best friends are Big Ears, Tessie Bear, Bumpy Dog and the Tubby Bears.

Noddy, Toyland Detective

2016

Noddy is Toyland’s new detective. If there’s something lost, missing or unusual happening in Toyland, Noddy and his friends, Bumpy Dog and Revs the car are the investigating dream team who find out what’s going on and how to make things right. With the help of his Who-What-Where Book, Noddy asks questions and uncovers clues to solve the mysteries of Toyland and save the day. Case closed!
