職場恋愛で結婚することになった瑞季は、突然婚約を破棄されて実家へ戻ることに。気まずさから仕事も辞め、母・真帆に冷ややかな視線を向けられながら自堕落な毎日を過ごしていた。そんなある日、かつて家庭を捨てて出て行った父・晃一から結婚祝いが届く。無用となった祝儀を返すべく父に会いに行った瑞季は、これまで自身がとらわれていた家族や遺伝と向き合うことになる。
