In der schicken Landhausvilla ihres Bruders hat die alleinerziehende Marlene Frischmann den perfekten Kindergeburtstag für ihren Sohn Theo organisiert: Ballons, glutenfreier Kuchen, Piñata und sogar wilde Tiere sollen für einen unvergesslichen Tag sorgen. Das liebevoll geplante Fest aber eskaliert kurzerhand zu einem urkomischen Albtraum, inklusive hitziger Debatten über Erziehung, Männlichkeitsbilder und elterliche Prinzipien. Nicht ganz unschuldig am Tohuwabohu sind Marlenes prolliger Banker-Bruder Timo, ihr exzentrisch-abgedrifteter Vater Hans, ihre Kollegin und idealistische Weltretterin Jenny sowie ein ganz besonderes Geschenk. Zwischen dysfunktionalen Familienstrukturen, pedantischen Helikopter-Müttern und kindlicher Anarchie versinkt die Party zunehmend im Chaos.
In her brother’s chic country house, single mum Marlene Frischmann has organised the perfect children’s birthday party for her son Theo: balloons, gluten-free cake, a piñata and even wild animals are all set to make for an unforgettable day. However, the lovingly planned party quickly escalates into a hilarious nightmare, complete with heated debates about parenting, notions of masculinity and parental principles. Not entirely blameless for the mayhem are Marlene’s boorish banker brother Timo, her eccentric and out-of-touch father Hans, her colleague and idealistic do-gooder Jenny, and a very special present. Amidst dysfunctional family structures, overbearing helicopter mums and childish anarchy, the party descends further and further into chaos.
Dans l’élégante villa de campagne de son frère, Marlene Frischmann, mère célibataire, a organisé la fête d’anniversaire parfaite pour son fils Theo : ballons, gâteau sans gluten, piñata et même des animaux sauvages sont de mise pour une journée inoubliable. Mais cette fête préparée avec tant d’amour tourne rapidement au cauchemar hilarant, avec au programme des débats houleux sur l’éducation, les images de la masculinité et les principes parentaux. Timo, le frère de Marlene, banquier un peu vulgaire, son père Hans, excentrique et déconnecté de la réalité, sa collègue Jenny, idéaliste et sauveuse du monde, ainsi qu’un cadeau très particulier ne sont pas tout à fait innocents dans ce chahut. Entre structures familiales dysfonctionnelles, mères « hélicoptères » pointilleuses et anarchie enfantine, la fête sombre de plus en plus dans le chaos.
