Dois irmãos, Bigail e Vicente, morando no interior do estado do Piauí, um ambiente árido e hostil, decidem levar o cadáver de seu pai Cipriano para ser enterrado em um cemitério muito distante à beira-mar, desde que o velho, antigo cowboy, sonhava em conhecer o mar. No caminho, eles encontram a Morte, três Anjos da Guarda e dois demônios. Primeiro longa-metragem produzido inteiramente no estado do Piauí, talvez o estado mais pobre do Brasil.
