伝助が、富山にある老舗製薬メーカー天狗堂のワンマン会長・黒部五郎（丹波哲郎）が発注する美術館建設の仕事を獲得する。しかし設計部の“ミス・スズケン”こと桐山桂（鈴木京香）は、黒部会長直々の奇抜なデザインが納得できずに、伝助に詰め寄る。事態を収拾させるべく、富山に出張した伝助と桂だったが、黒部は息子の嫁にと、桂を見初めてしまう。しかも、それが取引の条件となリ、事態はどんどんこじれてしまい・・・
