바이러스가 확산되면서 질서가 변이하기 시작한다. 생명공학 교수 세정은 생명공학 컨퍼런스에 참석하지만, 빠르게 변이하는 바이러스가 퍼지면서 재앙으로 치닫는 것을 목격한다. 발병이 확산되고 감염자들이 변이하기 시작하면서 당국은 시설 전체를 봉쇄하고 생존자들을 점점 커지는 위협 속에 가두게 된다
