Nach "Das weite Feld" drehte Volker Koepp mit seinem Porträt der beiden Schwestern Lene und Berta den zweiten Film aus seiner Reihe "Landschaften". Schauplatz ist dieses Mal ein kleines Dorf in der Vorderrhön im Kreis Meiningen. Während die beiden Schwestern eine besondere Art von Klößen zubereiten, erzählen sie von der Landschaft, in der sie leben.
