In the 1960s, in a small town in Canada, Bruce Reimer is born, one of twin children into a simple family. After a medical error during a circumcision, Bruce suffers an irreversible accident. Desperate, his parents turn to John Money, a renowned psychologist from Johns Hopkins University, known for his research on gender identity and sexuality.
