Lembri Uudu töötas Pähkla küla kolhoosis traktoristina. Pärast Nõukogude Liidu lagunemist saadeti kolhoos laiali, Uudu suri ja suurem osa Pähkla külaelanikest jäi tööta. Kuid mõnikord võtab inimene aega, et mõista, et ta on tegelikult surnud.
