Sathyapaladu is a king with a vast kingdom. When his advisors and scholars suggest that he perform the ritual called 'Nava Graha Puja', Sathya paladu mocks them and the ritual. Angered by his insolence, the gods curse Sathyapaladu and he loses everything and becomes a cripple. How Sathyapaladu repents for his mistakes and tries to find a way to redeem himself forms the crux of the story.
