Shiki, el legendario pirata, reaparece y planea destruir al Gobierno Mundial. Cuando secuestra a Nami, los Sombrero de Paja se enfrentan a una tierra desconocida.

Il pirata Shiki, detto il "Leone d'Oro", usa i poteri del suo frutto del diavolo Fuwa Fuwa per distruggere le navi della marina e ammonire Monkey D. Garp e l'ammiraglio Sengoku. Su un'isola volante, Monkey D. Rufy è inseguito da un animale geneticamente potenziato. Il mostro è sopraffatto da alcuni suoi simili, prima che Rufy ne sconfigga un altro. Il resto della ciurma di Cappello di Paglia è stata divisa in vari gruppi: Sanji con Usop, Roronoa Zoro con TonyTony Chopper, Nico Robin con Franky e Brook, mentre Nami è insieme a Shiki e i suoi seguaci. Viene mostrato un breve flashback: alcuni giorni prima, la ciurma di Cappello di Paglia legge le notizie di un attacco al Mare Orientale. Rufy giura di proteggere il Mare Orientale, prima di vedere la nave di Shiki in aria. Nami avvisa Shiki di una tempesta in arrivo, e le due navi fuggono. Shiki quindi scende a incontrare Nami e le rivela i suoi poteri di far galleggiare qualsiasi oggetto inanimato dopo averlo toccato. Quindi il pirata si offre di portare la ciurma al Mare Orientale. Tuttavia, Shiki porta la Thousand Sunny sulle isole volanti, rapisce Nami e sparpaglia il resto della ciurma in varie parti dell'isola insieme alla nave.

uses his Devil Fruit powers to destroy marine ships and warn Monkey D. Garp and Fleet Admiral Sengoku. On a floating island, Monkey D. Luffy is chased by a genetically-enhanced animal. The monster is overpowered by the other monsters before Luffy defeats the fourth monster. The Straw Hats have been separated into three groups: List of One Piece characters#Sanji with List of One Piece characters#Usopp, List of One Piece characters#Roronoa Zoro with List of One Piece characters#Tony Tony Chopper, and List of One Piece characters#Nico Robin with List of One Piece characters#Franky and List of One Piece characters#Brook. Shiki tells List of One Piece characters#Nami that she has been taken to the island against her will and a brief flashback is shown: several days earlier, the Straw Hats read news of an attack on East Blue. Luffy vows to protect the East Blue before witnessing Shiki's ship overhead. After escaping a storm, Shiki meets Nami and reveals his powers to make any inanimate object he touches float. After learning it was Nami that delivered the warning, Shiki offers to take them there before abducting Nami. The others try to rescue her, but Shiki makes the pirates scatter on the island.

O lendário pirata Shiki reaparece em East Blue e planeja destruir o Governo Mundial. Depois que ele sequestra Nami, os Chapéus de Palha enfrentam uma terra estranha.
