Das Werk des Malers Paul Cézanne ist eng mit seiner Heimat Aix-en-Provence verwoben. Im Landhaus seiner Familie, der Bastide du Jas de Bouffan, suchte er nach einem neuen Ausdruck in der Malerei. An diesem Ort entwickelte er einen Stil, der ihn zum "Vater der Moderne" machen sollte. Im Sommer 2025 öffnet das ehemalige Landhaus des Künstlers seine Türen für die Öffentlichkeit.
