傳說所羅門王擁有一只魔戒，可以跟蟲、魚、鳥、獸對話，而我們相信在台灣這個美麗的寶島上，也存在著這種神奇的魔法，穿梭在天空、森林、高山與海洋間，等待著有心人來跟大自然展開對話。「福爾摩沙的指環」這部紀錄片，就是在尋找、紀錄這一群心中戴著魔法指環的人，他們是科學家、老師、義工和平凡的小市民，這些人跟自然環境的親密程度與你我不同，因此他們對生命的價值、人生的態度，也會有更深刻的體認。
