汉末年间天地灵气无故消失殆尽，盛极一时的驱魔司分崩离析，史称“万法归寂”。晋太元四年，世间仅存的唯一一位大驱魔师——陈星来到襄阳寻找自己命定的护法武神。依靠着寄宿在他魂魄中的法器心灯，陈星努力寻找着恢复天地灵气的方法以对抗即将复苏的天魔，也在旅途中与护法武神项述结下深厚友谊。该动画将融合古风、神魔、奇幻、战斗等元素，向观众呈现一段波澜壮阔、跌宕起伏的英勇传奇故事。
