凌海市发生一起连环杀人案，让刑警季凡与队长熊振男、法医赵清妍等人联手展开调查。然而案件扑朔迷离，始终无法破获。随着调查的深入，季凡逐渐惊觉凶手似乎就在身边，看似简单的连环杀人案，却牵扯出一桩27年前的旧案，被时光掩埋的真相缓缓揭开，杀人凶手正是与季凡朝夕相处的父亲季廷山和哥哥季平，而季平却替季凡背负了27年的复仇重任。随着季廷山被捕，季平负伤逃到海外，季凡追寻他的踪迹来到曾经长大的第二故乡欧洲某国。季凡一边追查季平的下落，一边还要完成组织上委派的卧底任务，找出隐藏在三大黑帮家族幕后的操控人A先生，破解黑帮圣物“圣杯”中的秘密，被卷入欧洲某国黑帮的争斗中。在捷克警方的协助下，季凡终于查到A先生真实身份，而季平的目标居然也是A先生，而这一切也跟俩人的过往有着千丝万缕的关系。
