曾经的不良少年宋宸受恩师的影响决心成为一名教师，改变更多垫底学生的命运。回校实习时，他却被分配到尖子班1班，成为学霸们的班主任。恩师之女、脾气火爆的优等生谭舒同对教师职业充满抗拒，却因求职失手无奈地回到高中，成为吊车尾18班的班主任。菜鸟老师 vs 不想改变的学生，互相瞧不起对方的两组人被迫朝夕相处，交锋之后，对彼此的偏见也在悄悄瓦解……与此同时，宋宸的老同学们、上一代的18班也在此时踏上社会，租住在一起的他们成为了两位菜鸟教师的狗头军师。尽管后青春期的他们已经成人，却也面临着和中学生相似的烦恼。一屋子的“95后”社会菜鸟与新一届“05后”少年们的故事相互交织，他（她）们能成为理想中的大人吗？
