Doch sie entdecken, dass dies bereits der dritte Vorfall mit zerstörter Fahrzeug-Elektronik ist und dass Serpente für den Mafia-Boss Alesso Corto arbeitet. Tom und Semir kommen der Wahrheit immer näher und erfahren vom FBI, dass es sich um ein gezielt eingesetztes elektromagnetisches Gerät handelt.
In her gambling addiction, LKA officer Laura Wagner has developed a dangerous device that disables vehicles using electromagnetic impulses (EPW). When she is chasing the mafia courier Enrico Serpente on the highway with a suitcase full of money, she uses the device and causes a serious accident in which she steals the suitcase. Tom and Semir initially investigate the case, but assume it was a random accident. But they discover that this is already the third incident in which vehicle electronics have been destroyed and that Serpente works for the mafia boss Alesso Corto. Tom and Semir are getting closer and closer to the truth and learn from the FBI that it is a deliberately deployed electromagnetic device.
