Lifelong Texan Jerry Campbell has been in the hog hunting game for over half a century. His kids, Robert and Krystal, are hoping to turn Dad's lifestyle into a full-time family business helping desperate landowners clear their property of destructive wild boars that are causing millions of dollars in damage. The family takes on their first job at a nearby ranch, but when their lead hunting dog, Rooster, disappears in the middle of the hunt, the family has to find a way to finish the job without him.
After the loss of his lead hunting dog, Rooster, Jerry is ready to call off his hunting days for awhile while he trains a new dog. But Krystal and Robert are desperate to keep their fledgling business alive. Against Jerry's advice, Robert invests in new dogs Creager and Lugnut hoping they can lead the pack. But a hunt at an auto salvage yard leaves Jerry with doubts over the new dogs' abilities. When a call comes in from a ranch owner who's livestock is being eaten by hogs, Jerry and the kids take the job. But the future of the family business and Robert's reputation depend on whether the new dogs have what it takes to replace Rooster.
The Campbells get a call from an elderly widow being terrorized by a massive 250 pound boar. At the job, the battle between Jerry's old ways and the kids' new methods turns the hunt into a family feud that descends into chaos. In order to catch the giant hog, the Campbells will have to work together and agree on an approach. But with tension at the breaking point, it may finally be time for the kids to take the reigns from Jerry.
The Campbells and their team of young dogs tee off at a Texas golf course, where an aggressive hog is threatening golfers and tearing up $20,000 greens. But the hunt leaves Krystal and Robert concerned about Jerry's health and ability to keep hunting. A call comes in from a pecan orchard overrun with hogs, but when the kids try to take some of the workload off Jerry, the pressure of leading the hunt leaves Krystal and Robert fighting each other instead of the boars. But when Jerry goes missing during the night, attention shifts to finding the family patriarch.
The Campbells are faced with their biggest job yet: a 900-acre deer hunting ranch overrun with boars. Hoping to increase their hog hunting arsenal, Robert sinks more money into the family business by buying a hog trap. Jerry, who prefers hunting exclusively with dogs, forces Robert to prove the value of his investment by challenging him to a $1000 wager over who will catch the most hogs. But the sheer size of the job has the family feeling overwhelmed. With their reputation as hog hunters on the line, the Campbells are forced to hunt through the night using any means necessary to rid the ranch of boars.
With their usual hand, Leah, unavailable, Robert hires a young hand to help out the family, but Krystal and Jerry aren't sure the new kid has what it takes to make it as a hog hunter. At the Y5 Ranch, wild hogs are killing cattle and eating calves. The Campbells and their new hire take on the job, but when Krystal's threatened by a hog, Robert makes a split second decision that leaves his sister more angry than grateful.
After taking to the internet to find new customers, Robert and Krystal find a hog hunting job at a local vineyard. But working close to the delicate grape vines forces the family to replace Jerry's traditional hunting methods with Robert's new strategy. Never happy to take a backseat, Jerry looks for hunting work in the farming community of Haskell, Texas. There, wild hogs are decimating peanut crops and Jerry's convinced his old-school methods are the only way to save the farmers. But with the kids determined to do things their way, the family business is in danger of being torn apart.
The Campbells tackle their biggest job yet: a ranch so overrun with hogs, the owners are on the verge of selling the property. But the size of the ranch has Jerry worried about the safety of taking the job. On the hunt, Jerry finds signs of massive numbers of aggressive hogs, but the property is so large the kids are out of radio range. Split apart, and facing a huge pack of boars, the Campbells might have finally met their match.
After nearly facing defeat on the 4R Ranch, the Campbells gear up for one last stand. Scouting from a helicopter, Jerry thinks he may have finally found where the elusive hogs have been hiding. But on the ground, their luck changes for the worse when the pack of aggressive hogs takes Robert, Krystal, and Lea by surprise, forcing them into a battle for their lives. With everything on the line, the Campbells are determined to clear the 4R Ranch, or die trying.
After rolling his jeep during a hunt, Jerry decides it might be time to "hang up his spurs," but when he puts his son Robert in charge of the family business, the news upsets his daughter, Krystal, more than his homemade wild hog sausage.
Still smoking after being overlooked to run the family business, Krystal tries to prove she s more qualified than her brother but Robert doesn t take well to having his newfound authority challenged.
Robert's newfound leadership comes into question when he sleeps in on a big job, so Krystal takes the reigns and leads by example.
When the power-struggle between Robert and Krystal starts to affect the bottom line, Jerry has no choice but to take control and finish the job before calf-eating hogs run a rancher out of business.
With his family fighting and business faltering, Jerry tries to mend some fences with a road trip to Louisiana, where wild hogs threaten a turtle farmer. But after a few days fighting the swamps, Jerry realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew.
After sinking in the Louisiana swamps, Jerry recruits a local named "Leprechaun" for help, but catching hogs is only half the battle as Jerry struggles to keep peace in the family.
When a wild hog threatens some local children, even Jerry s wife, Cathy, gets involved in the hunt and in the process, the Campbells put the "family" back in business... all according to Jerry s "master plan."
With his family working like a well-oiled machine, Jerry goes after a big contract offered up by a local car dealer, but he soon reveals that the Campbells aren t the only ones he called in for the job, and an untimely injury to Krystal puts more than the job in jeopardy.
With Ronnie Creek and his crew breathing down the Campbells' necks, it's going to take a full team effort to win the big contract they're all after. But when Krystal almost loses her thumb roping her horse, Lea has to rush her to the hospital and it's up to Jerry and Robert to pick up the slack.
With Krystal's thumb injury sidelining her for 4-6 weeks, Robert tries to find a replacement, but family tensions resurface when he recruits a girl with zero experience. As the Campbells struggle to teach the new recruit the ropes, Ronnie Creek and his crew tighten the noose around Jerry's dying business.
After another new recruit fails to make the cut, the Campbells recognize Krystal is irreplaceable and take another job despite being shorthanded. But when their top dog, Ranger, turns up missing their hog hunt turns into a dog rescue and the prospect of losing his best dog has Jerry on the verge of calling it quits.
Jerry tries to chase down new business, but rival Ronnie Creek is one step ahead, beating him to the punch of every hog job in Texas. Determined to take down his nemesis once and for all, Jerry puts his good name (and the Campbells' paychecks) on the line: whoever catches the most hogs gets all the money - but it's not long before Jerry's plans go up in smoke. As Ronnie Creek and his crew take an early lead, a frustrated Krystal vows to find a way to help her family rise to the challenge.
It's the last job of the year and after a season of close calls and hard falls it could be the last hunt of Jerry's career. With their paychecks, pride and reputations on the line, the Campbells find themselves behind Ronnie's crew yet again, but what they lack in youth and speed, they have in know-how. Krystal's arm might be in a sling but she knows hogging better than the all the Creeks combined, and bets the farm on a plan that, if it works, will put the Campbells over the top and save the family business.
After winning last season's showdown, Jerry Campbell is the Hog Boss in Texas. Business is booming, but Krystal, Robert and Lea aren't seeing any of the profits. They all point to Jerry's new hobby of "investing" in Texas "artifacts" as the main reason, and it all comes to a head when Jerry ruins a hunt because he lost his latest prize: a pipe that was allegedly smoked during the Battle of the Alamo. Meanwhile Ronnie Creek, the loser of last season's finale, is obsessed with his loss to Jerry Campbell. When his teammate Cody checks in on him at home, he finds Ronnie shooting effigies of Jerry in the backyard. He drags Ronnie to their latest client and when the rancher mentions a 500-pound hog on the property, Ronnie becomes convinced his redemption lies in taking down this "Hogzilla.
After only a few days into their new job, the Creek Boys have had about enough of Ronnie's obsession with taking down Jerry Campbell. It all comes to a head when he leads the guys on a wild chase into a barn because he thinks he saw "Hogzilla." Meanwhile, the reigning Hog Boss, Jerry Campbell, finds himself under attack when a fleeing sow runs into his Jeep--but the pigs aren't the only ones coming after Jerry. Krystal is at her wits end with her father's behavior. When he doesn't come to her because he's too busy bidding on an auction on his cellphone... it all blows up. The hog gets away from the girls and attacks Lea's horse. Finally fed up, Krystal quits the family business on the spot--taking Lea with her.
Krystal and Lea commit to their decision to quit Jerry and team Campbell and start their own business. They buy their own Jeep and christen it with a decal bearing the name of their new outfit: Wild Women Hoggers. Jerry and Robert struggle without the girls, losing hogs as Jerry struggles to stay on his feet. Jerry is convinced Krystal will return; Robert doubts it. The Creeks are out catching hogs and Ronnie is on board with his team--until he's convinced his dogs are on "The Big One" so he hits the road solo, ditching his crew. When Ronnie's truck gets stuck, he spots what he swears is his 500-pound hog, and radios for his crew to come help him. They've had enough of Creek's obsession and they refuse.
Ronnie Creek can't get his truck unstuck, or his crew to come help him--they're fed up with his obsession over an elusive 500lb hog. So he decides that he doesn't need either to capture his prize.
The girls are off to another job, and meet with a couple who claim they've spotted Bigfoot on their land, and mimic its call. While on the hunt, the girls hear something suspicious, and as Lea pulls her gun, culprit Jerry busts out of the brush in the Jeep, and say that they met with the property owners too, and whoever catches the most hogs takes the bank. Ronnie returns from his holy hog sabbatical to a less-than-happy Creek crew, who say they're ready to turn over leadership duties to a live turkey in Randy's lap. They begrudgingly agree to hunt with him again--if he gives up his "imaginary hog." It's the last straw when Ronnie takes off (with Cody in tow) to get his big hog fix after spotting a huge hog wallow, which leaves Randy and Shep behind.
With Ronnie and Cody away, Randy and Shep struggle to hobble a hog on their own...and Shep gets attacked! After Shep's face-off with the attack hog, the Creeks tell Ronnie to go hang his hat where the sun don't shine, forcing the Legend, Ronnie Creek, to continue his quest for "the big pig" all by himself. Meanwhile, not wanting their dogs to get mixed up, Krystal and Lea debate with Jerry and Robert over rights to the hunting grounds. Krystal and Lea also express their need to buy a dog box for their jeep. Jerry keeps disrupting his and Robert's hunt by stopping to pee all the time. Robert eventually gets fed up and takes off to catch and hobble a hog on his own. Jerry tells Robert they're doing just fine without the girls, but Robert isn't so sure.
Jerry and Robert aren't budging off the Bigfoot ranch, and Krystal and Lea aren't happy about it. But they're really upset when a couple of their dogs disappear from the GPS, and they find out that Jerry has sabotaged them. The girl's race jeep-to-jeep with the guys in a wild hog mud chase, and win--leaving old Brush Jumper burnt out and stuck in the mud. But Krystal and Lea can't wrangle with Jerry's antics anymore--it's time to pick up and take their business elsewhere. Meanwhile, Ronnie picks up a new team member, his niece Christina. Ronnie has helped pay Christina's school tuition, but her schoolwork is no priority for him on the hog trail. When Christina says she has to get back for a test, Ronnie ditches her in the middle of nowhere to go after a 500-pound hog.
Riding high after their success on the Bigfoot job, and frustrated with Jerry's constant sabotage, Krystal and Lea take a huge gamble by moving their hog hunting operation to Florida. There they join forces with master hog hunter Tom Walker in hopes of raking in some big time hogging contracts. They have some success in the field, but they quickly discover they may be in over their heads. The swampy terrain is as nasty as the hogs, the dogs are more aggressive, and their new partner Tom is a bit of a loose cannon. Meanwhile back in Texas, Jerry's life continues its tailspin. Krystal is gone, his family business is struggling, and now his jeep, "Old Brushjumper," is out of commission.
Ronnie tells Jerry about his plans for the Campbell family; Tom's unpredictability raises safety concerns for Krystal and Lea; Jerry and Robert meet their newly hired hogging assistant.
Tom surprises Krystal and Lea by bringing in a friend to help with the workload; Jerry is impressed with new employee Katie, but Robert views her as a distraction.
The guys take on the girls in a hog-catching competition; Jerry continues flirting with Katie while Robert kills a hog to protect his dogs.
Jerry gives Katie a special gift as a way of initiating her into the Campbell clan; Krystal and Lea become upset when Tom's rash actions cost them a payday.
Jerry removes hogs from the ranch of Olympic gold medalist and professional stuntman Dean Smith; Krystal and Lea return home from Florida with empty pockets.
After seeing Krystal at the Campbell homestead, Jerry is really starting to miss his baby girl, and wonders if he could ever truly replace "Krystal the Pistol." He takes his angst out on Katie when she's late to work.
Jerry wishes he had Krystal back on the team, but he knows he's got to lean on Katie as the team plugs away on the Dean Smith job. Krystal and Lea continue to struggle on the watermelon farm and get a big shock.
While Krystal and Lea battle cacti and barbed wire in an all-out fight to land a hog on the watermelon farm, Jerry is done feeling soft for her and says he's going to give her some tough love.
Krystal makes a terrible mistake in the heat of the watermelon hunt that threatens the life of a loved one. And Jerry gets a big surprise when he goes all the way down to Mexico on a job.
When Jerry and revenge-obsessed Ronnie butt heads in an all-out hog-off, Jerry unleashes his secret weapon. Meanwhile, the girls get back in action in a big way, and Robert helps Katie go after one huge, ornery hog.
As the war against the Creeks begins, a confident Ronnie bets his entire pool of money. The Creeks start cleaning up, but the Campbells keep the score close. At the end, Jerry tells his team who won. Campbells or Creeks--which side do you have your money on?
