À l’occasion du brunch surprise d’anniversaire de Marc-André, son ami François lui offre un cadeau empoisonné : une entrevue pour un emploi de commis afin qu’il vienne travailler avec lui, Evelyne et Patrick. Marc-André, qui est sans emploi et qui vit en mode simplicité volontaire, va-t-il retourner travailler dans un milieu qu’il s’était promis de quitter pour toujours? Pendant ce temps, Evelyne jongle entre le désir de retourner au travail et celui d’être présente pour son fils. Vincent trouvera-t-il le moyen de raviver la flamme entre lui et Stéphanie? Patrick décide de faire plaisir à sa femme en acceptant de déménager au nord du Québec… mais il reçoit une offre intéressante qui pourrait chambouler ses plans et sa relation de couple.
During Marc-André's surprise birthday brunch, his friend François gives him a poisoned gift: an interview for a clerk job so he can come to work with him, Evelyne, and Patrick. Marc-André, unemployed and living a life of voluntary simplicity, will he return to work in an environment he had promised to leave forever? Meanwhile, Evelyne is torn between the desire to return to work and the need to be there for her son. Will Vincent find a way to rekindle the flame with Stéphanie? Patrick decides to please his wife by agreeing to move to Northern Quebec... but he receives an interesting offer that could disrupt his plans and his relationship.
