Silly Putty (the real stuff not that Elmers glue snot) doesn't blend with other materials UNLESS you add dimethicone. Dimethicone is an expensive cosmetics ingredient. BUT I've experimented with a cheap source: RC Car shock oil. Mixing various proportions of Dimethicone to Silly Putty allows you to modify the properties and add additional solids like sand or iron powder.
