Examines the plight of migrant workers, whom Secretary of Labor Mitchell calls, "The Shame of America." Shows the deplorable working and living conditions of those men, women, children: they work 136 days a year and average $900 in income since educational programs and opportunities are severely limited, the children of migrant workers have little chance of escaping from the migrant life.
