Block 14: Tricia Warren

After yesterday's first dinner party, the five contestants talk about their impressions of the other four. The second to host a dinner party is Tricia Warren. Her New Orleans menu consists of sazeracs as the welcome drink, spicy alligator bites and chicken & Andouille sausage gumbo as the appetizer, jambalaya as the main course, and bananas foster as the dessert. Tricia issues a dress code to match her menu, namely green, purple and gold of Mardi Gras. She also ends up making her ice cream for dessert the old fashioned way without an ice cream maker, which she hopes will impress. The concept of alligator ends up being a risk as the conservative eaters may not appreciate it. She takes another risk by never having made any of her dishes before. Tricia takes some valid yet somewhat unconventional substitutions to her gumbo by using ingredients to replace the missing okra, which may or may not work in her favor. Her shortcut for the jambalaya may prove to be the same, however this one depending if she gets caught. She ends up having a slight problem with the dessert but hopes that what she ends up not being able to accomplish will not be missed. The Mardi Gras themed activity which she has her guests do as she prepares dessert she wants to top off the evening.
