Alf thinks Deirdre is wasting her time opposing him. Emily pledges to support Deirdre in the election and Deirdre fills in a nomination form. Ken proposes her and Emily seconds her. Bet tells Gloria that now she's got the tenancy she can't afford to take her on as barmaid. She is disappointed. Gail is furious when Audrey confesses that she told Ivy the truth.
