The Wiltons are horrified when a "For Sale" sign goes up outside No.9. When his bowls trip is cancelled, Billy spends the afternoon drinking in the Rovers. Steph tries to find out about Des's set-up, asking about Maxine and learning that the Duckworths are buying the house. She is relieved when Des tells her that he doesn't think the Duckworths will ever be in a position to buy. Betty is embarrassed when drunken Billy swears his love for her in the pub and pleads with her to marry him. Maxine sulks all day until Denise sorts her out, saying that she was going to be sacked until Fiona pleaded her case. Raquel is pleased when Leo arrives for their date. He takes her out to an exclusive restaurant. Afterwards she is puzzled when he takes her to deserted Firman's. Maxine is thrilled when Des apologises to her, explaining that she caught him at an awkward time. Leo takes Raquel into the storeroom where he tries to rape her. She manages to escape and runs away.
