A lockdown tour of the Sainsbury Centre’s exhibition revealing the transformation of the British seaside in the 1920s and '30s. Design, craftsmanship, architecture and fashion each played its part; and post-war public health drives, industrial developments and a revolution in travel precipitated the advent of the holiday resort. Art Deco treasures on display include railway posters by leading graphic designers, ceramics inspired by far-flung travel, and furniture, beautiful in its simplicity.
