Mahadev and Parvati welcome Nahush and the guests from the groom's side. Nahush and Ashok Sundari exchange the garlands in front of the guests. Mahadev enlightens the guests about the prominence of marriage. Mahadev questions Nahush whether he can look after Ashok Sundari the same way as Lord Vishnu took care of Lakshmi. Meanwhile, Parvati recalls the rituals of her marriage with Mahadev. Nahush accomplishes the marriage ritual by applying vermillion on Ashok Sundari's forehead.
