Cell convinces Vegeta to allow him to absorb Android 18 leaving Trunks to try to stop Cell. While fighting Trunks Cell finally finds Android 18 and results in asking for Vegeta's help. Vegeta attacks Trunks so that Cell may get to Android 18, this leaves Krillin and Android 16 helplessly trying to stop Cell. Will Cell get to Android 18?

Vegeta é convencido por Cell a permiti-lo atingir a forma perfeita. Kuririn destrói o controle que desativaria a andróide 18. Enquanto Trunks tentava impedir Cell, este encontra a Nº18. Goku e Gohan continuam treinando na Sala do Tempo e Espírito. Cell absorve a Nº 18 e atinge a forma perfeita.
Cell motiva a Vegeta a que le deje perfeccionar su cuerpo, ya que seria un error derrotar a un rival tan debil como lo es Cell en ese entonces, y a pesar de que Vegeta acepta, Trunks se opone vehemente, lo cual genera un enfrentamiento entre este y Vegeta. Trunks logra enfrentarse ante Cell luego de haber atacado a su padre, sin embargo Cell ataca con un Tayōken, abriendose paso y absorbiendo finalmente a Numero 18. Con lo cual Cell logra transformarse completamente.

Trunks blocca la strada a Cell, ma Vegeta interviene per fermare suo figlio. Cell individua n° 18 mentre Trunks si libera di Vegeta, scagliandolo via con un colpo di energia. Crilin e n° 16 tentano di impedire che n° 18 venga assorbita, ma vengono facilmente respinti. Trunks, ricorrendo alla potenza superiore a quella di un Super Saiyan, ingaggia Cell per dare tempo agli androidi di fuggire. Tuttavia, ricorrendo al Taiyō-ken, Cell riesce ad accecare tutti e ad assorbire n° 18, ottenendo così il corpo perfetto.
