ماجرا از دید دو کودک به اسم آذر و وحید روایت می‌شود. بچه‌هایی که به خاطر مخفی شدن یکی از اعضای مجاهدین در خانه‌شان پدر و مادر خود را در جریان یک درگیری از دست می‌دهند و رهسپار یتیم‌خانه زنی به نام مادام می‌شوند، اما با وقوع حوادثی از یکدیگر جدا می‌افتند.
