  • S01E01 Kersten and the Manta Ray (Peru)

    Kerstin Forsberg has devoted her life to protecting Manta Rays in her native country of Peru. This magnificent species migrates here every year but is under serious threat from fishing in the region. Kerstin is banning harmful fishing practices.

  • S01E02 Monique and the Sloth (Suriname)

    In Suriname, Monique Pool, nicknamed the Sloth Lady, has been working to protect this unique species with a shelter for injured sloths and an area of forest protected from development to ensure that the local sloths have a safe place to live.

  • S01E03 Karen and the Dugong (Mozambique)

    Uncommon and hardly known, today the Dugong is the most threatened sea mammal on the planet. The species can only be found in certain parts of the Indian Ocean and in the western regions of the Pacific.

  • S01E04 Lena and the Saiga (Uzbekistan)

    A formidable mother-daughter team based in Uzbekistan devoting their lives to saving the saiga, a critically endangered antelope with a distinctive bulbous nose. In 2015 an epidemic wiped out half of the remaining population, killing over 200,000 animals in a few days.

  • S01E05 Deidre and the Kakapo (New Zealand)

    The Kakapo, or owl parrot, is a large flightless bird found on two New Zealand islands: Codfish and Anchor Island. Deidre Vercoe is responsible for running a conservation scheme which monitors each one of the remaining birds to keep them safe and to breed.

  • S01E06 Anna and the Thresher Shark (Phillipines)

    On the island of Malapascua, Anna Oposa and her team are working with local fisherman to create a nature reserve where thresher sharks can thrive. The number of sharks is dwindling. Anna is spearheading the campaign to protect this incredible species in the Philippines.

    Lorane is a young scientist dedicated to building shelters in the Franco-Swiss mountains for orphaned baby lynx, one of Europe’s last great feline species and predators. Lynx are critical to the preservation and growth of Europe's habitats.

  • S02E01 Vanesa and the Condor (Argentina)

    Between the plains of the pampas and the peaks of the Andes, the condor, the sacred bird is close to extinction. In Argentina, Vanesa Astore and her team lead a reintroduction program by promoting their reproduction in captivity. In addition to the creation of a network of protected natural areas for the conservation of condors, Vanesa is committed to the fight against the use of toxic baits by cattle breeders.

    Trek into the isolated forests of Madagascar with Mahefa as she meets local communities who are battling deforestation, all in a bid to protect the iconic Malagasy lemur.
