Historical Tyrants - Herod the Great

Herod the Great was a Roman client king ruling Judea between 37 and 4 BCE, a master builder who reshaped Jerusalem, and a man who constructed wonders like the Second Temple, Caesarea Maritima, Masada, and the Herodium. He was also remembered as a Biblical villain, a tyrant king, and the man forever linked to the darkest moments of the Nativity story. But how much of that reputation is earned, and how much is legend?
