Joe Swanson is a character in the television comedy series Family Guy. He is good friends with other main characters, Peter Griffin and Glenn Quagmire. He is in a wheelchair because a criminal hit him with a pipe, and later shot him in both of his legs. He is married to Bonnie Swanson. Joe works as a police officer, and is 43 years old.
