An overly rosy portrayal of life in the 1950s depicting the daily lives of insurance agent Jim Anderson, his wife Margaret, and their three children, Bud, Betty, and Kathy. They dealt with normal issues, such as dating, peer pressure, and growing up, something the viewers could relate to. The show is considered a classic, and is among one of the few shows that remain true to its core.
