Last week, Republicans in the Senate didn't quite manage to repeal and/or replace the Affordable Care Act. So, why exactly can't Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and Donald Trump get Obamacare repealed. For one thing, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski were stalwart in their resistance to taking away people's insurance without a plan to replace it. And some late-night dramatics from John McCain put the bill over the top. Or, under the bottom, I guess. It didn't pass.
