The craziness continues for Americans competing in Japan when "Episode 103" of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" airs TUESDAY, JULY 8 on the ABC Television Network. One of the games in the new hour: PEDAL FAST OR BIG SPLASH. Two teammates riding tricycles take turns trying to stay in a marked zone on a moving conveyor belt. The other teammates ride stationary bicycles and control the speed of the conveyor belt with their own pedaling -- the faster they pedal, the slower the conveyor goes. The team with the most time in the marked area wins, and a team plays until both tricycle riders drop into a giant ice filled pool of water.
Another day, another crazy Japanese game!! Contestants are dressed as a baby and they spin around and around until they are dizzy. They must then try and walk across a small course, but falls and slips are definitely going to happen! Another team must face elimination, but who is it going to be this week?
Contestants throw projectiles at a Velcro-clad teammate suspended by a wire when opponents pull the Velcro warrior from side to side, trying their best to keep the objects from sticking. For elimination, two contestants swing on some ropes from a platform into a line of seven doors one at a time, trying to find the three solid doors in the fastest time they can get. Another team must face elimination, but who is it going to be this week?
Two teammates spin in chairs at different ends of the field, then they must cross one another to get a lock or ring with three keys. Then they meet back in the middle on two smaller spinning disks to unlock the lock and then head back to their own seats. In the elimination game, the contestants change three times into a unique Japanese costume. The contestant with the fastest cumulative time wins.
The contestants don Velcro rabbit suits for one game, which involves boxes, a narrow beam and being shot at with a cannon using Velcro balls as ammunition. Then they change into spider suits for the second game where they carry bug parts to the top of the playing field and must make a match in patterns before being yanked away. Also, in Human Torpedo, the players take turns being launched from a spinning platform and try to knock as many metal cans as possible off the playing field while sliding through slippery lotion.
The 11 remaining contestants face the following challenges, catching tennis balls fired at them inside the large pants they wear; and finding clothing hid in a pile of flour and then dressing a mannequin which they are told is Judge Bob. Also, they will go through an obstacle course while covered in lotion.
This weeks teams will be faced with catching as many fish as possible within 2 minutes and 30 seconds from a tank of icy water with only their mouths. Next, they will run an obstacle course while dressed as babies. And lastly, each contestant will slide down a wall while attempting to throw balls into one of two holes before reaching the ground. Most balls scored in 2 1/2 minutes wins.
SOUR MILK FOR KITTY - Players stand on vibrating platforms while dressed as cats and wearing bowls on their heads. One player scoops "sour milk" into their bowl, transferring to their teammates one at a time and into a container behind the third player. BIG FOOT BANG BANG - In this game, one player serves as a goaltender against a soccer goal dressed as a cactus (with their teammmates controlling them on a rope pulley system) against the opposite team, dressed as various fruits and vegetables (a carrot as a kicker, a bunch of grapes as a setter and a tomato as the kickers' swinger) attempting to score goals using large balloons into a soccer goal. Should a balloon be shot at the cactus, it is popped. YOU LOOK FUNNY STUCK ON WALL (Elimination game) - Players wear velcro suits, jump off a trampoline and try to stick to the wall within a body-shaped outline. The first player to 4 points wins the game, the eliminated player is peeled off and carried away by the Sayonara Mob.
