由緒ある戸倉家に嫁いだ璃子（恒松祐里）は、邸宅内で幽霊のような老婆の幻影を目撃し、夫の誠（葉山奨之）から一族に代々受け継がれてきた不思議な風習の存在を知らされる。なかなか戸倉家に馴染めない璃子だったが、心優しい義妹・友香とは次第に仲を深めていく。そして月日が流れる中、璃子は思いもよらない真実と向き合うことになり――。一家に受け継がれる“緩やかな別れ”の先に待つ、切ない真実が明かされる。
A young woman marries into a traditional family that uses a strange, ghostly ritual to gradually mourn their deceased relatives. When tragedy strikes close to home, she must confront the true, heartbreaking nature of the ritual.
