Nao has her court hearing while her adopted family has to deal with the repercussions of her arrest. She receives a suspended sentence and is released on parole. Tsugami's birth mom and boyfriend are arrested on charges of child abuse. The reporter tracking the case secretly video tapes Tsugami in the orphanage apparently doing well showing the tapes to Nao who seems surprised that Tsugami seems to be forgetting her already but after an unknown phone call to her Nao finds the truth . . .

仁美（尾野真千子）の告訴状を受け、警察は奈緒（松雪泰子）の逮捕に向かう。マスコミは、仁美の虐待の事実は報道せず、奈緒と鈴原家は世間から非難を浴びる。一方、継美（芦田愛菜）は、北海道・室蘭の児童養護施設に預けられることに。そんな中、奈緒と面会した藤吉（山本耕史）は、継美をあきらめるように諭す。

나오는 츠구미를 유괴한 죄로 체포되고 츠구미는 무로란의 아동보호시설로 보내진다. 후지요시는 재판을 앞둔 나오를 찾아가지만 나오의 머릿속엔 온통 츠구미의 걱정뿐이었다. 그러던 중 히토미는 츠구미를 학대한 사실이 밝혀져 체포된다. 그리고 드디어 나오의 판결이 내려지는데...

藤子願為奈緒承擔責任辭去社長一職，果步的內定工作也被取消。憐南被送去了室蘭的兒童保護機構，奈緒被判緩刑，仁美因虐待兒童遭到逮捕。俊輔去了保護機構拍攝記錄並將錄影交給了奈緒，奈緒看到憐南快樂的身影淚流滿面。葉菜病情惡化卻決定不再接受治療，藤子勸說奈緒陪伴與看護葉菜，奈緒與葉菜在醫院相擁而泣。憐南深夜致電奈緒講述自己的生活點滴，她向奈緒表達思念並希望奈緒能把自己接走。
