Melody brings her new cassette player to school, but accidentally leaves it behind in the school yard. After the cassette player goes missing, Melody and her friends strongly suspect Teddy of stealing it. The following day, a mock trial is held in the school classroom, with Teddy as the defendant and Bright Eyes as the prosecutor. Against Teddy's wishes, Sweetheart becomes his defense attorney, which prompts Melody to believe that Sweetheart has betrayed their gang. During the classroom trial, the witnesses and the class can provide no proof Teddy took the cassette player. Sweetheart eventually summons the school's custodian and it is revealed that he had found the cassette player and brought it to the Lost & Found.
