With a third of its territory located north of the arctic circle, Finland is the northern-most country in Europe. Urbanization is limited and two thirds of the country is covered by the Borealis forest, which is home to wild reindeer, bears and lynx All species which are threatened with extinction and which the Fins are struggling to protect. Although celebrated for its forests, Finland also has numerous lakes and islands, including one of the largest archipelagos in the world.
