سریال دربارهٔ کارمند اجاره نشینی هست که در گیر و دار ازدواج و تهیه جهزیه دخترش بعد از مدت‌ها تقاضای وام او مورد موافقت قرار می‌گیرد، اما همزمان حکم بازنشستگی اش صادر می‌شود و در این میان خانمی وارد زندگی او شده و به وی کمک میکند که ماجراهایی را برای شخصیت‌های داستان به وجود می‌آورد
