The young Sasho is appointed to a position at the institute. The article with the avant-garde scientific ideas and new hypotheses about the development of cancer is published as well. A furious negative reaction follows at the institute. Associate Professor Azmanov writes a maliciously critical article, but at the convened meeting Urumov stands by his views. Krista’s mother becomes worried by the changes in her daughter. It turns out that Azmanov is hiding something from his past—he is Krista’s uncle, but he does not want his career to suffer because of his kinship with her father, a defector.
