Documentary series about people living on benefits, including 60-year-old Avril, who is one of the long-term unemployed. Her nickname is the Bargain Queen because she spends so much time at car-boot sales - although her biggest bargain so far is a free holiday, courtesy of her mother. Steve has just returned to the UK from Turkey and at 56 is facing unemployment for the first time in his life, and transgender Jess finds jobseeking difficult while she undergoes her transitional medical treatment.
