Travis Washay bought this 1983 Volkswagen GTI in college to flip it. Theft recovery, no wheels, no front spoiler. It was supposed to be just another transaction. He kept it and won the SCCA regional and National Tour championships in it. Drove his first laps at Lime Rock in this car. He still has it, around 34 years later.
