Paulina arrives at the Lagos family farm as one more employee to carry out the orders of a mysterious man who seeks revenge. The woman must get Maria and her son Eduardo and, of course, Genoveva out of the way to start the macabre plan. For the celebration of the first communion in Florence, Eduardo gives the little girl a heart-shaped medal forged by the best blacksmith in the area, and who assures her that it will give good luck to whoever wears it. To thank him, Florencia gives Eduardo an innocent kiss without thinking that he would be surprised by Paulina, who takes the moment to get rid of the little one and, incidentally, Maria. Finally, Paulina decides to end Genoveva's life.
Lo que comenzó como un amor inocente entre dos niños, terminó en una separación dolorosa. Florencia nació en el privilegio; Eduardo, en la carencia.
