The troubled third season of the original Star Trek series began just as major political events, most of them relating to the ongoing Vietnam War, were occurring in the U.S. in the year 1968. A follow-on to the previous video in this series, this part of the story will trace the final year of Star Trek against the backdrop of what was arguably the climax of America’s involvement in the conflict in Southeast Asia, including the “changing of the guard” from the Johnson to Nixon administrations.
