Due to the fall of Soviet union, the eastern part of Germany ended up having many unused military ghost towns. Initially, our goal was to just explore these abandoned habitats, but as we travelled, more interesting locations caught our attention. Coincidentally, the non-ghost town objects we explored, were old enough to still be used during the Soviet times. There are still many more locations to check out in this region of Germany, so I will make a return eventually. This journey was filmed a couple summers ago, during my motorcycle trip. I was coming back to western Europe from the Balkans and decided to meet up with a new friend and do some exploration on foot. I left my motorcycle in Berlin and we took off in his car to the first ghost town, starting the journey.
