With the ginseng season in full swing, four teams of relentless hunters are challenged by ancient trails explored by native Cherokee and early settlers. In the rugged peaks and hollows of the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, the sengers the teams' nickname for ginseng hunters have dangerous run-ins with poisonous timber rattlesnakes, broken tree limbs and more. They compete against time, the mountains and their rivals in the hunt.
